We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety & Loss Control Administrator to join our team and to support our roofing companys Safety and Loss Prevention department. The ideal candidate will be coachable have excellent communication skills and be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees assets and facilities.
As a Safety & Loss Control Administrator you will be responsible for handling sensitive documents maintaining organized records and providing essential administrative support to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Safety and Loss Prevention department
Organize manage and maintain sensitive safety documentation and incident reports
Assist with the preparation and tracking of safety training records audits and inspections
Maintain confidential employee and incident files with a high level of discretion
Assist in tracking safety training certifications and compliance deadlines
Prepare and submit reports related to accidents claims and insurance documentation
Support the team with data entry scheduling and general administrative tasks
Maintain digital and physical filing systems for easy access and security
Help ensure compliance with internal safety policies and external regulatory requirements
Foster open communication on safety concerns; promote a positive safety culture.
Create and update safety policies ensuring effective communication to all.
Maintain confidentiality and handle all sensitive information with discretion and care
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency
Previous administrative experience (construction or roofing industry preferred but not required)
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Understanding of safety regulations
Bi-lingual Spanish speaking preferred
Experience in managing workers compensation and insurance damage claims
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Office applications.
Physical Requirements:
Move around construction sites climb ladders and stairs.
Good balance on uneven surfaces.
Capability to lift and carry safety equipment.
Tolerance for various weather conditions.
Good vision to identify potential hazards.
Adequate hearing to detect warning signals.
Skill in using hands and fingers.
Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Working Conditions:
Monday through Friday occasional weekends.
Stationary position 50% of the time lift up to 45 lbs on a continuous basis.
Occasional outdoor work primarily in an office environment.
