Your Impact
Were looking for an experiencedSenior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in hardware development to join our dynamic this role you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and success of our hardware products leveraging your knowledge of mechanical
What Youll Do
- Develop fixed-site portable and mobile solutions focusing on durable designs that maintain performance in various operational environments.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through to end-of-life ensuring designs meet requirements for mechanical stability thermal efficiency and overall reliability under diverse conditions.
- Create conceptual designs for new products considering factors that will influence cost size weight and environmental ratings.
- Validate new designs using industry standard test equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical and RF engineers system architects and software developers.
- Manage component and bill-of-materials (BOM) structures in PLM systems ensuring traceability and accuracy throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage Production Documentation and Compliance ensuring that all aspects of the design manufacturing process and product qualifications are meticulously documented updated and in compliance with relevant industry standards.
What You Bring
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a focus on thermal analysis.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles including heat transfer EMI and shock and vibration.
- Fundamentals in simulation tools such as SolidWorks Simulation Ansys or similar software for thermal and structural analysis.
- Experience in designing products to withstand harsh environments.
- Familiarity with MIL STDs and qualification processes.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication tools such as drills bandsaws and angle grinders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present complex ideas clearly.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a high level of ambiguity.
Work Location
This role is based out of our Sterling Office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
