Job Description
Overview
Are you an Advanced Practice Provider (FNP or PA) with experience in Urgent Care looking to pick up extra shifts at a competitive rate This role may be for you!
What You Need:
- Must be able to see ages newborn to adult
- 1 years of experience as a provider
- Commitment of 48-hours every 6 weeks
- Ability to travel to all Cone Health Urgent Care locations

Responsibilities
Conducts preventive health screenings based on the patients age history and unique needs to provide proactive health care.
Educates patients and their family about specialty care medical conditions treatment and follow-up.
Maintains record of all patient care in order to ensure accurate patient history is recorded across offices.
Performs office-based specialty care medical procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines and clinical roles.
Identifies ways to improve outpatient specialty care by assessing problem-solving and evaluating clinical and system issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred: 3 years
Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA license
Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PAs OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NPs OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers
IVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
