Job Title: Workforce Development Supervisor

Location: Chicago IL

Status: Exempt Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Sr. PREP Program Manager Direct Reports: CBT Facilitators

About Us:

God Restoring Order (GRO) Community is a mental healthcare provider that specializes in trauma recovery services for males of color ages 5 and up. GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the neurological biological and psychological effects of trauma. GRO services include mental health and wellness stress management and community outreach.

Position Summary:

The Workforce Development Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations staff and service delivery of the Adult Workforce Development Program. This department is responsible for recently released or re-entry clients who are in need of cognitive behavior interventions and workforce development skill building. This role ensures that program goals are met through effective supervision coordination and support of facilitators and peer support staff. The Supervisor plays a key leadership role in ensuring quality service provision to justice-involved individuals supporting successful reintegration into the community and promoting reduced recidivism.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision coaching and performance evaluation for facilitators and support personnel at various sites throughout the city of Chicago and surrounding areas
  • Oversee intake assessment and service planning processes to ensure timely and appropriate support for participants
  • Monitor participant progress and program outcomes; ensure compliance with contractual organizational and reporting requirements
  • Facilitate team meetings and cross-agency coordination to ensure effective wraparound support for participants
  • Ensure the implementation of evidence-based practices (e.g. CBT Motivational Interviewing trauma-informed care)
  • Support staff development through training supervision and professional growth opportunities
  • Develop and implement program initiatives to support long term stability of participants
  • Monitor program site issues/closures risks to ensure a safe environment for staff and participants
  • Manage program supply orders so that staff are equipped with necessary tools to perform job duties
  • Manage payroll for staff and participants including an incentive system to ensure participants are compensated appropriately
  • Coordinate and facilitate participant engagement activities such as orientation and graduation ceremonies
  • Organize and refine instructional materials
  • Facilitate job readiness activities including coordinating experiential learning activities
  • Uphold program expectations and complete observations to ensure fidelity of services are administered
  • Maintain accurate program records data tracking and reporting to funders or agency leadership.
  • Participate in audits quality assurance reviews and strategic planning
  • Provide crisis management faced by programs or participants as needed

Competencies:

  • Group facilitation experience
  • Proficiency in data tracking reporting and case management systems
  • Demonstrates a keen understanding of the needs of the re-entry population and provide the necessary support to develop skill sets of participants through the transitional period
  • Experience with staff supervision program coordination and performance management
  • Commitment to equity trauma-informed practices and client-centered service delivery
  • Excellent organizational interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

Work Setting:

  • Onsite/Hybrid with option to work remote on Fridays if available
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to GRO Community and community sites to engage employers

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in management
  • Minimum of 2 years in CBT or CBI Facilitator experience
  • Knowledge and comfortability with problem solving and conflict resolution
  • 3-4 years of experience in working with Re-Entry Population Non-Profit or Workforce development or community-based setting
  • Workforce Development Job Development and Group Facilitation
  • Non-Profit knowledge and experience desired but not required
