Advanced Behavioral Health Inc. is looking for Therapeutic Mentors to provide direct support services to students in kindergarten through 12th grade (K-12) in Carroll County Public Schools helping to address school refusal behavior and related challenges by delivering skill-building activities facilitating group sessions and supporting students social-emotional development. This role will focus on reinforcing therapeutic goals promoting consistent school attendance and linking students and families to appropriate community resources.

Essential Functions:
- Provide individualized coaching and skills-based support to students in grades K12 participating in the STARS Program with the goal of reducing school refusal behaviors and promoting consistent school attendance.
- Facilitate structured group sessions and learning activities that promote social-emotional growth coping strategies and engagement with sensitivity to anxiety trauma and related behavioral challenges.
- Maintain regular communication with students families and treatment team members to reinforce therapeutic goals promote school re-engagement and support continuity of care.
- Collaborate closely with STARS Program Therapists program director and other stakeholders to ensure services are coordinated trauma-informed and aligned with each students individualized treatment plan.
- Implement therapeutic and rehabilitation activities identified in individualized treatment plans focusing on early intervention strategies designed to address the root causes of absenteeism before patterns escalate.
- Support linkages to appropriate school and community-based resources that assist students and families in overcoming barriers to attendance and overall well-being.
Qualifications & Work Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Social Work Psychology or health-related field or proof of completion of thirty (30) hours or the equivalent of college credit toward a bachelors degree in a health-related field or one (1) year of work experience in a supervised mental health setting.
- Prior experience working with troubled youth is preferred.
- Excellent working knowledge and use of an Electronic Medical Records system (EMR) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent in both written and verbal communications skills.
- Valid unrestricteddrivers license and reliable transportation.
