Job Description

Who are you

You are a caring and dedicated professional that is passionate about providing early childhood programming for youth parents families and professionals. You have obtained at least a high school diploma with previous experience in an educational setting. A degree in social services or education is highly preferred but not necessary for the right candidate that possesses previous experience as it relates to the role. You enjoy coordinating and developing training and educational services that make a difference for others - early childhood mental health mental health wellness social/emotional development parenting skills and more!

You have the ability to obtain a Drivers License maintain auto insurance earn CPR/First Aid certification and be willing to submit to background check and fingerprinting.
In this role you will regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office our HRIS EHR and other online systems with multiple logins often simultaneously.

How youll make a difference in this role:

You will promote the coordination/development of trainings to facilitate the use of standards and assessments by early childhood providers in support of social-emotional development and approaches to learning.

  • Provide ODE/ODJFS developed training and support for the implementation of the birth to kindergarten early learning and development standards for social-emotional development and approaches to learning to targeted preschool programs child care centers and family homes.
  • Provide on-site consultation for child care providers provide education and training on social emotional development. Provide individual and classroom consultations including linking families to appropriate services.
  • Implement programs/services necessary to meet the needs of clients; provides community consultation/education services regarding mental illness and substance abuse prevention; provides classroom behavioral assessments regarding youths behavior management.
  • Provide targeted ECMH center-based consultation services as identified in the Ohio Model of ECMH Consultation. Support to include: training technical assistance coaching classroom observation review and consultation with school staff etc.
  • Collect and enter data as required by OhioMHAS into prescribed data system compile and submit quarterly activity reports.
  • Provide training on social/emotional needs of youth and relevant mental health topics.
  • Participate in ODE/ODJFS approved training on classroom and assessment tools.
