The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tooling Manufacturing Manager (L) to support the Space Launch Systems (SLS) team in New Orleans LA!
The Senior Tooling Manufacturing Manager will develop and execute integrated organizational plans policies and procedures. Additionally the Senior Tooling Manufacturing Manager will drive safety quality delivery cost & innovation performance expectations in line with program objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees and mid-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
- Develops and executes integrated organizational plans policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies goals and objectives
- Acquires resources for organizational activities provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes
- Manages develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5 years of experience in Aerospace and Manufacturing
- 5 years of experience in a formal management role leading cross functional teams initiatives or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
- 3 years of experience with Lean processes and initiatives
- Proficient experience in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint SharePoint)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3 years of experience preparing and presenting senior and/or executive level communications and briefings
- Ability to coach and lead others on standard work processes and procedures
- 3 years of experience in leading root-cause analysis or Boeing Problem Solving Model
- 3 years of experience with managing QSCDM in a dynamic production system
- 3 years of experience interacting with DCMA and Program Management Offices
- 1 year of experience in implementing and working with OneBPS
