Entry Level Architect (Mission Critical)
- Mission Critical group at GBA is looking for a highly motivated architect to join us in our Lenexa Kansas headquarters. This individual will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment on new and/or renovation projects from start to finish seeing every phase of the project. This group specializes in the Mission Critical industry and serves many of the top Information Technology companies as an integrated team of architects engineers and construction managers working on the design of data center telecommunications and industrial facilities.
Our projects require creativity to address highly functional highly complicated space planning and design. If you enjoy thinking outside the box defining new innovative ways to address problem spaces this might just be the position for you.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Project Architects Project Engineers and Construction teams to provide innovative design solutions to projects during all phases of design
- Interface with clients offering project management support
- Review of shop drawings and RFIs
- Verification of permitting requirements
- Existing facility evaluations
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree from an NAAB-accredited Architecture program
- At least 1 year of experience internship experience applies
- Ability to demonstrate good design capabilities
- Must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD Office Bluebeam (Revit is a plus)
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
