Job Description
We are currently looking for a DevOps/ Platform Engineer to extend our team dedicated to creating and maintaining our highly available platform to support mission-critical emergency call handling NG911 systems. By leveraging virtualization advanced automation and a robust stack of technologies we aim to deliver a seamless scalable and self-service infrastructure solution that accelerates business innovation. Teams are responsible for end-to-end solution development including design implementation testing delivery and maintenance in a 24/7 support model.
We are looking at different types of individuals. If you have experience in Platform Architect Automation Engineer Kubernetes Specialist Elastic Engineer Site Reliability Engineer and Network Security Engineer and you feel like creating technology that serves as a lifeline for first responders is a noble and vital endeavor you are ready to answer the call.
Basic Requirements
- Understanding of Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred).
- Understanding of containerization (e.g. Docker)
- Proficiency in scripting languages ( Python Ruby).
- Familiarity with automation of infrastructure and application deployments ( Terraform).
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions).
- Understanding of networking concepts and principles and security best practices
Soft skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Open to learning new technologies and adapting to changing requirements.
Experience:
- 3 years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
- Hands-on experience with the technologies mentioned above.
- Experience with large enterprise IT systems
- Proven experience in automate everything organizations
- Experience in working with different time zones (fluent English)
Technical skills - should have:
- Experience with virtualization technologies (eg PROXMOX VMware ESXi KVM).
- Knowledge of database management systems (e.g. PostgreSQL MS SQL). Knowledge of log management and analytics tools ( Stack Prometheus).
- Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes K8s).
