The Opportunity:
As the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Event Management & Operations you will provide strategic leadership and executive oversight of all athletic facilities and event operations at Washington State this pivotal role you will manage large-scale capital projects oversee high-profile event execution and ensure the efficient operation of athletic venues. As a key member of the executive team you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to create a safe engaging and high-performing environment for student-athletes and the campus community.
You will report directly to the Deputy Director of Athletics and serve as a key member of the departments executive leadership team contributing to strategic planning policy development and institutional coordination. You will act as the primary liaison with university facilities teams and external contractors/vendors and play a critical role in creating a safe compliant and engaging environment that supports the success of student-athletes and enhances the overall university experience.
Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime-exempt.
Monthly Salary: $9166.67 - $10833.34 Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in sports administration administrative business liberal arts social sciences or related discipline plus five (5) years of demonstrated experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified for the particular unit including two (2) years of supervisory responsibility. Any combination of relevant experience and education may be substituted for the required education. Extensive knowledge of rules and regulations established by governing associations.
Must have or be able to obtain by time of hire a valid drivers license and meet requirements in accordance withSPPM7.10and departmental driving standards.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge ofNCAA Pac-12 Conference and university-level rules policies and compliance regulations.
Advanced degree in a related field.
Experience in facility maintenance and facility improvements.
Experience in working with budgets.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve consider alternatives and provide flexibility.
Demonstrated success in managing complex operations and leading cross-functional teams.
Experience leading athletic capital projects from concept development through completion.
Proven success in project management and staff supervision.
Familiarity with public event safety emergency preparedness and crowd control practices.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Technological proficiency in facility/event management platforms.
