Job Description
The Manager of Project Management will oversee and lead the project management team ensuring that all projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in project management methodologies and the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing project processes mentoring project managers and ensuring alignment with company goals.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the project management team including hiring training mentoring and performance evaluations.
Develop and implement project management methodologies standards and tools to optimize project delivery.
Oversee the planning execution and closing of projects ensuring they meet organizational objectives and timelines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams stakeholders and clients to define project scope goals and deliverables.
Monitor project performance and progress providing regular status updates to senior management.
Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues to ensure successful project outcomes.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project management team.
Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across multiple projects.
Ensure compliance with company policies industry regulations and best practices in project management.
Facilitate project-related meetings workshops and post-project evaluations.
Prepare and present project reports dashboards and documentation to stakeholders.
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelors degree in Project Management Business Administration or a related field preferred. Masters degree or PMP certification is a plus.
5 years of experience in project management with at least 3 years in a leadership role preferred
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile Waterfall) and tools (e.g. MS Project Jira Roadmunk).
Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience in resource management and capacity planning.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Experience in Software Development preferred.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of product management tools and methodologies.
Typical Physical Demands:
Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time occasional stooping and reaching; May require lifting up to 25 pounds; requires normal range of vision and hearing with or without accommodations.
