Job Title: Product Design Engineer
Location: Oxfordshire
Term: Permanent
Salary: 35000 - 40000 per annum
An established manufacturing company based in Oxfordshire is looking to expand their design team by hiring a Product Design Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team working on innovative products from concept through to production.
The Product Design Engineer will ideally have the following:
Minimum of 3 years experience in a Product Design Engineer role
Strong CAD experience ideally using SolidWorks
Background in a manufacturing environment
Degree or HND/HNC in Product Design Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Good understanding of materials design for manufacture and prototyping
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
The role will involve:
Designing and developing new products and improving existing designs
Producing detailed CAD models and engineering drawings
Liaising with internal teams including production and quality to ensure smooth project delivery
Supporting the prototyping and testing of new designs
Maintaining documentation and BOMs
