Were working with a beautifully designed recently opened gastropub in the charming market town of Hitchin. With a strong focus on seasonal British produce and ambitious plans to achieve Rosettes theyre now looking for a passionate Junior Sous Chef to support their small skilled kitchen team.
Youll be wondering whats in it for you as a Junior Sous Chef
- 36000 per annum plus circa 6000 service charge
- Live-in accommodation available for around 600 per month
- Set days off Monday and Tuesday
- Open from Wednesday dinner to Sunday lunch
- Fresh seasonal cooking with high-quality ingredients
- Joining a tight-knit team of 3 in a supportive environment
- Pushing towards earning prestigious Rosettes
Responsibilities as a Junior Sous Chef
- Collaborating with and supporting the team in daily service and prep
- Assisting with menu development and creative seasonal specials
- Maintaining high standards of food quality hygiene and consistency
- Taking responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of senior chefs
- Mentoring junior staff and helping them develop their skills
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong Chef De Partie ready to step up or a current Junior Sous Chef looking for a new challenge in a quality-led kitchen with real ambition.
