We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our this role you will be responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle and partnering with hiring managers to attract and hire top talent who align with our organizational values and goals. You will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and effective hiring process.
As part of our commitment to child protection and safeguarding the Talent Acquisition Specialist is also expected to uphold and promote our safeguarding standards throughout the recruitment process. This includes ensuring that all candidates undergo rigorous background checks and that our hiring practices contribute to a safe and inclusive environment for children and young people.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Selection:
- Liaise with hiring managers to finalize Job Descriptions and the selection process for each vacancy this to include any assessments as required.
- Manage the job advert placements CV screenings shortlisting candidate arrange initial interviews until final interviews with hiring managers and include offering stage.
- To source candidates from various channels whether it is paid or organic to include but not limited to designated Application Tracking System LinkedIn Glassdoor or any other job platforms.
- Work with recruitment agencies to fill difficult roles negotiate rates and clearly share job and benefits details to ensure transparency and efficiency.
- Be the first point of contact for candidate queries and other incoming queries in a timely manner via email phone or in person.
- To provide regular updates to the hiring managers of the recruitment progress whether via emails in person or regular weekly/biweekly meetings as required
- Coordinate with HRBP to ensure new position sourcing aligns with the approved Manpower Plan (MPP).
- Prepare offering proposals in accordance with the available budget and obtained approval from CHRO prior to any offering are sent out
- Provide justification as necessary when an appointment must be made exceeding the allocated budget.
- Liaise with HRBP to ensure Employee Request Form is completed prior to any offers are made.
- Coordinate with formalities team to ensure candidates provide all required documents for visa and work permit processing.
- Ensure Recruitment Master Tracker reports are regularly updated to include Candidates C&B information as part of benchmarking data.
- Ensure the recruitment platforms/websites are up to date with most current vacancies
- Be point of contact for Employee Referral Program for internal employees
Compliance and Safer Recruitment:
- To ensure reference checks are done following the safer recruitment standard and is completed prior to an offer being made.
- Conduct background checks from social media search to include but not limited to google search Instagram Facebook TikTok or any other relevant checks that are required.
- Any findings before or after a candidate is appointed that may raise concerns must be discussed with the hiring manager for further action.
- Ensure candidates fulfill the mandatory safeguarding documents prior to joining date.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in psychology or human resources is preferred however this may be substituted with 5 years of experience in talent sourcing
- Min 3 years experience in Talent Acquisition role
- Experienced in end-to-end recruitment from posting jobs and screening candidates to using diverse interview techniques to find the best fit
- Experience in handling recruitment in Education sector will be an advantage
- Working with application tracking system or other recruitment system
- Proficient in using LinkedIn and other social media channels to build talent pool and professional networks
- Strong multitasking abilities and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively
- English fluency is a must
- Proficiency in MS office Google Suite and other recruitment system
- High level of integrity discretion and professionalism.
