As an AWS Software Engineer II-AI/ML at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking-Data Technology team youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Design code test and deliver data platform software capabilities to develop Machine Learning/AI-LLM and Modeling capabilities for generating Business outcomes oriented to Data Life Cycle Management capabilities
- Collaborate on design innovation and develop engineering capabilities for advanced big data cloud and analytics
- Code test and deploy micro-services based software capabilities for big data and analytics in the AWS cloud
- Seek to continuously develop deep AWS engineering skills that optimizes code quality and performance
- Collaborate on data engineering coding principles standards designs frameworks and chaos testing
- Use your verbal and written communication skills for expressing technical software requirements and designs
- Deliver technology for systems globally.
- Work closely with regional and global teams to deliver high quality technology services and projects on time in scope and within budget
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2 years applied experience
- Hands-on professional experience in Software Development Data Science and SQL Data Engineering and Machine Learning
- Strong hands-on Shell Scripting and UNIX skills
- Demonstrated Big Data and hands-on data migration expertise as a software engineer
- Strong knowledge of Python Pandas Algorithm Time complexity optimization and FAST API to implement techniques effectively
- Ability to compare and identify the correct algorithm for building models with optimum performance
- Strong AI-model-based work experience including building and comparing different models like Hugging Face Mistral GPT-4 PyTorch BERT and using matching techniques like Cosine Similarity
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools like Git Jenkins test-based coding and Spinnaker deployment pipelines
- Basic understanding of AWS Services
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Advanced knowledge of application data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Experience with AWS OpenSearch Bedrock and Sage-Maker is a plus
- Experience with Snowflake platform
- AWS Foundations Certification preferred
- Ability to work in large collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals and passionate about building an innovative culture
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages like AWS and Machine Learning/LLM
- Understanding of software skills such as business analysis development deployment CI/CD maintenance and software improvement
