CMHA is looking to hire a Referral Engagement Specialist. This position will be located at 233 Main St. New Britain CT 06051. Monday Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
Compensation Range:The salary range for this position starts at $20.00 per hour.
Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience education and skills but also by maintaining internal pay equity. Position Summary:The Referral Engagement Specialist responsible for processing referrals to CMHA services. Responsible for ensuring excellent customer service; facilitating adherence to CMHA policies and licensure requirements and engaging referral sources and/or referred clients into treatment.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with Patient Access Representatives to assist with quality control client satisfaction and performance management.
  • Attends external events/meetings to promote CMHA services and establish professional relationships with external entities as the point of contact for referrals.
  • Receives referrals for treatment from external providers hospitals schools and self-referrals and coordinates scheduling of appointments.
  • Assists with new client registration to ensure accurate information for client management database including current insurance status demographics with updated client contact information and responsible party.
  • Collaborates with Program Coordinators and Clinical Directors regarding patient care coordination to access our system of care.
  • Retrieves copies and forwards chart/medical record information to facilitate client visit.
  • Answers multi-line phones to screen and route callers take messages and schedule appointments to ensure optimum levels of client volume and flow supporting reception and medical records functions as needed.
  • Inputs all client information in system and ensures information is accurate.
  • Follows up on Intake/Psychiatric Evaluation no shows and assesses scheduling problems for the CMHAs Open Access Center.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Valid DMV License
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-year experience working in an office environment.
