Job Description
Position Overview & Responsibilities
- Collaborating with investigators to design and execute quantitative proteomics experiments
- Analyzing samples processing data and reporting experimental results
- Developing and leading sample processing strategies across a variety of experimental models including cultured cells yeast flies mice rats and human samples
- Maintaining and performing routine maintenance on multiple LC-MS/MS instruments
- Assisting investigators with the preparation of manuscripts and competitive grant applications
- Training and mentoring new users in proteomics methodologies and instrumentation
- Managing laboratory staff budgets and record keeping
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry Analytical Chemistry Molecular Biology or a related field at the time of the appointment
- At least one year of hands-on experience in proteomic analysis
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Thermo Scientific LC-MS/MS instrumentation
- Experience with coding
- Experience with data science
- Experience with stable isotope analysis
