A well-established highly reputable organisation based in Whitby is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:
As the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for:
- Preparing tax-related financial data for statutory accounts and group reporting
- Collaborating with Group Tax to prepare and submit VAT and corporation tax returns
- Managing daily and weekly bank reconciliations and posting transactions across overseas accounts
- Supporting cash forecasting payment validations and treasury reporting
- Issuing intercompany and internal recharge invoices including payroll allocations
- Assisting with survey returns and financial reporting for overseas entities
- Administering company credit cards and reconciling balances
- Supporting ad hoc finance projects and reporting requirements
Assistant Accountant Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this Assistant Accountant position you should ideally have:
- Minimum of 1 years experience in a similar finance or accounting role
- AAT Level 3 (or above) or currently studying study support is available
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and advanced formulas
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience using accounting software SAP experience (especially S4 Hana) would be beneficial
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
