BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Veterinary Assistant at our Midtown NYC location!
Pay:$22.15 - $32.80 / hour
As a Dermatology Veterinary Assistant you will:
Be comfortable with heavy client communication
Obtain patients history
Preferably be comfortable with routine dermatology medications and side effects
Venipuncture and placing intravenous catheters
Able to use Dermatology terms
Swab for Otic Cytology and ear mite preparation
Prepare for Skin Biopsy
Able to recognize alopecia nodules and tumors
Patient care including diagnostic procedures and treatments
Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients
Familiar and proficient with aseptic techniques
Familiar with laboratory procedures and practices
