QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid Louisiana State Department of Education Certificate
2. Masters degree
3. Certification as an educational diagnostician school psychologist or social worker
4. Three years of successful experience in Pupil Appraisal
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education
SUPERVISES: Assigned Staff
JOB GOAL: To organize implement and monitor the Pupil Appraisal process in Rapides Parish
TERM: Twelve Months
SALARY: Supervisor/Coordinator Salary Schedule
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. To organize implement and monitor the Pupil Appraisal process for child search through
placement
II. To act as liaison person between principals supervisors regular classroom teachers
parent groups Supervisors of Special Education and Director of Student Services
III. To provide leadership through inservice of Pupil Appraisal personnel
IV. To coordinate efforts of all intervention team members
V. To evaluate assigned staff according to Rapides Parish Accountability guidelines
VI. To supervise the selection and purchasing of materials and equipment necessary to the
appraisal process
VII. To establish and execute a professional growth and self-evaluation plan
VIII. To work effectively with school personnel and staff
IX. To consistently demonstrate self-direction
X. To submit accurate records and reports promptly
XI. To exhibit professional ethics
XII. To foster open communication and positive relationships with school personnel and staff
XIII. To foster open communication and positive relationships with the community
XIV. To perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Student Services
XV. To follow state and School Board policies
