Job Description
Project Kuiper is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast reliable internet to customers and communities around the world and weve designed the system with the capacity flexibility and performance to serve a wide range of customers from individualhouseholds to schools hospitals businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control : This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.
Kuiper IT & Digital Operation team is looking to hire a Software Development engineer. This is a fast-paced intellectually challenging position and will work with leaders in multiple technology areas. Have relentlessly high standards for yourself and everyone you work with and be constantly looking for ways to improve your products performance quality and cost. We want individuals who are ready for this challenge and want to reach beyond what is possible today.
Key job responsibilities
Work with Export and Kuiper Security to deliver IAM requirements
- Build and deliver user device and service Identities for Kuipers business operations
- Build RBAC and ABAC services
- Develop secure services utilizing x509 Certificates for Digital Signatures and Encryption
- Develop cloud native software systems in Go
- Utilize AWS and other Amazon technologies to build highly-available software services.
- Design and develop performant systems that meet the mission criteria and requirements.
- Help on-board and mentor new team members.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 3 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience with full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
