Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage batch job scheduling systems ensuring performance and reliability.
- Lead application installations and upgrades with minimal disruption.
- Administer configure and troubleshoot batch scheduling tools-specifically Redwood RunMyJobs (2 3 years minimum).
- Bring at least 6 years of experience managing batch scheduling tools including patching and configuration.
- Collaborate with project and operations teams to design configure and implement job schedules aligned with business needs.
- Manage job dependencies triggers calendars and execution windows to meet SLAs.
- Provide on-call support for critical batch failures and operational incidents.
- Define and schedule batch jobs including setting priorities execution times and dependencies.
- Monitor job execution status track progress and resolve any delays or errors.
- Troubleshoot issues related to job scheduling execution and system performance.
- Continuously analyze and optimize job schedules for resource efficiency and timely execution.
- Maintain the scheduling environment by applying patches updates and configuration adjustments.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and alignment of batch processes with business requirements.
- Proficiency with batch scheduling tools such as IBM Tivoli Work Scheduler Control-M or ActiveBatch.
- Familiarity with Linux Windows and other relevant operating systems.
- Ability to develop scripts and automate scheduling and monitoring tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
- Effective communicator with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
