We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Financial Accounting team on a Fixed Term Contract maternity cover.
We are looking for someone who is technically strong as well as operationally minded to take responsibility for our expenditure and accounts payable function across our UK businesses. This role has three direct reports (Accounts Assistants) and works closely with our Financial Accounting Team our Financial Controller our FP&A team and our wider business.
You will oversee important processes and controls for our expenditure including processing supplier invoices responding to supplier queries managing company credit cards and staff expense reimbursements. You will also be responsible for the accounting activity that underpins these areas.

Be a qualified accountant with a recognised institute (CCAB or equivalent) with UK or US GAAP accounting experience.
Be a critical thinker with high attention to detail and be able to work with accuracy.
Have strong Excel skills including (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP SUMIFS Pivot tables etc).
Have the ability to line manage staff and support them for their own growth and development.
Be a clear and confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills for communication across all levels of the business and with external stakeholders.
Show a good demonstration of upwards management.
Have experience working either within audit or with auditors.
Have experience working in a SOX control environment.
Be operationally-minded to work in effective and efficient ways.
Preferably have previous experience within large complex international organisations or an accounting practice background.
