Senior Cost AccountantTriconIrondale ALWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant with strong SAP expertise to join our finance team. This role is critical in managing cost accounting functions supporting financial planning and ensuring accurate reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in standard cost accounting experience with SAP ERP systems and a proactive approach to process improvement.Key Responsibilities- Analyze and manage cost data to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
- Utilize SAP to collect validate and interpret financial data generating actionable insights.
- Develop monitor and report on budgets cost variances and performance metrics.
- Prepare and present monthly quarterly and annual cost reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP internal controls and company policies.
- Collaborate with operations procurement and project teams to support cost efficiency.
- Assist in inventory valuation standard cost updates and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audits with relevant cost data and documentation.
- Lead or contribute to finance process improvement initiatives.
Requirements- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
- 5 years of progressive cost accounting experience preferably in manufacturing or project-based environments.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP (CO FI MM modules).
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles inventory management and financial analysis.
- Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
