Job Title: 1st Class Marine Electrician -Assembly D

Job Location: Panama City Florida
Schedule: 5 days/Week 8 hours day & night shifts available
Essential Functions:
Perform all duties to layout fabricate and install electrical wiring or coaxial cable onboard ships.
Checks tests and troubleshoots electrical systems for conformance to specifications and performs repair removal and reinstallation of wiring as necessary. Cuts wire to length; strips insulation from wire ends and insulates connections with plastic sleeves. Attaches wire or complicated electrical systems to fixtures and accessories such as transformers instrument panels and switchboards with fasteners such as bolts screws or solder.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Assembles multi-pin connectors and backshells. Attaches wire or complicated electrical systems to fixtures and accessories such as transformers instrument panels and switchboards with fasteners such as bolts screws or solder.
Qualifications:
Must have five (5) years electrical experience installing cables through shipboard cableways performing terminations on military and commercial multi-pin crimp and soldering type connectors/connections
Ability to read and interpret drawings specifications technical manuals design notices etc.
Ability to use all tools of their trade such as multi-meters pin crimpers soldering and expected to accomplish the more complex tasks associated with electrical installations of cable military circular connectors panel box and power terminations etc.
Possess basic computer skills.
Must be able to provide own hand tools specific to the trade.
U.S citizenship/legal Alien required
Preferred Additional Skills:
Shipboard Fiber Optic Assembly
Successful completion of Military class A school for basic electrical theory understanding is desired.
