At a Glance! Lower Columbia College is seeking a dynamic energetic collaborative and creative instructor committed to community college students and their success. This position will be responsible for teaching courses in Accounting and coursework may include Introduction to Accounting Concepts Payroll Accounting Taxation and Introduction to QuickBooks. Courses may be in-person hybrid or online. Lecture rate is $80.68 per contact hour ($887.48 per credit).
Lab rate is $60.08 per contact hour ($1321.76 per credit).
Field-based experience rate is $43.64 per contact hour ($1440.16 per credit).

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Impart expertise enthusiasm and creativity in the teaching ofAccountingcourses.
- Create and maintain an effective learning environment.
- Provide quality instruction in the classroom and online adapting to a variety of teaching/learningsituations and maintaining relevancy of content.
- Effectively use computer applications/technology for instruction and communication as appropriate
- Assess evaluate and document student learning and achievement of course outcomesand providetimely feedback to support learning.
- Provide individualized support to promote student success.
- Contribute to the departments initiatives to improve student success and retention
- Effectively interact with supervisors colleagues and staff as a member of the educational team.
- Uphold LCC policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively in oral and written English.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Accounting or a related field OR Bachelors degree in Accountingor a related field plus two years of experience in accounting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four or more years of professional work experience in areas related to teaching.
- Successful college teaching experience in a Business or Accountingfield.
- Experience using technology to enhance student learning including using a Learning Management System.
- Ability to communicate knowledge and skills in both oral and written forms to students who represent a broad spectrum of ages abilities ethnicity education and cultural backgrounds.
