As a Lead Data Engineer at April Housing you will be responsible for overseeing the COE Data Engineers (India Offshore) ensuring the successful design and implementation of technical solutions development of ETL data pipelines in our data platform (Azure/Databricks/Snowflake) maintenance of technical documentation and UAT readiness. This position requires strong leadership skills technical expertise and a commitment to data quality and governance.
Technical Solution Design:
Create technical solutions using Python and SQL to meet business requirements.
Design system level architecture with some lower-level feature design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the solutions are aligned with the overall business strategy.
Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and data quality issues.
Identify opportunities for technical data improvement.
ETL Data Pipeline Development:
Develop ETL data pipelines for data ingestion and modeling in Databricks.
Ensure the ADF pipelines are efficient reliable and scalable.
Build processes supporting data transformation data structures metadata dependency and workload management using DBT and Airflow or similar tools.
Conduct root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer business questions.
Technical Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all solutions and pipelines.
Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
UAT Readiness Solutions:
Provide solutions to ensure UAT readiness in Snowflake and PowerBI.
Collaborate with the QA team to identify and resolve any issues during UAT.
Team Leadership and Management:
Lead motivate and manage the COE Data Engineers (offshore) providing guidance and support.
Lead innovation in data science applications for operational efficiency
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Work closely with the VP of Technology to align technical feasibility with business goals.
Data Quality and Governance:
Champion data quality and governance practices.
Implement data validation processes and ensure compliance with governance policies.
Key Deliverables:
End-to-end data pipelines such as rent rolls effective rent models and financial forecasting.
Develop and document data models for key performance metrics.
Collaboration with the COE team to ensure platform scalability and maintainability.
Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in technical solution design ETL development pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Factory and data pipeline management.
Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Snowflake DBT and Azure is highly preferred.
Familiarity in source code management tools (such as Azure-Devops and Git)
Strong knowledge of data governance and quality standards.

Considers budget personnel and timing implications when delivering upon plans. Ensure all teams required have a common plan and the resources tools and processes to ensure deliverables are met
Manages Ambiguity: Can comfortably manage teams through the gray providing guidance and indicating when a pivot is necessary. Ensures team moves forward seamlessly even when a change of course is required. Details what is required when working with ambiguity and keep the team focused in these times.
Development Talent/Professional Development: Helps establish development plans for all critical talent. It is active in providing feedback of all types so that teams can become optimized including eliminating talent that is consistently underperforming and securing rewarding and promoting talent that is high performing and high potential

$160000.00 To $170000.00. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Companys base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location and experience.Total Direct Compensation: This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
