Job Description

Lighthouse Therapy LLC is a family-owned veteran-owned and locally operated business dedicated to providing high-quality speech therapy services to students.

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based therapy team. This position follows the academic school calendar providing services to students with speech and language needs. The SLP will work closely with educators families and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication development.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-As).

  • Ensure SLP-As follow treatment plans and adhere to professional and ethical guidelines.

  • Provide guidance mentorship and performance evaluations for SLP-As.

  • Maintain documentation and compliance with supervision requirements set by ASHA and state licensing boards.

  • Develop and implement therapy plans for students with speech language and communication disorders.

  • Conduct individual and small group therapy sessions.

  • Support students with AAC devices articulation fluency and expressive/receptive language needs.

  • Collect data on student progress and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Collaborate with teachers special education staff and parents to support student success.

  • Participate in IEP meetings when necessary.

  • Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines for school-based therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising and managing Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-As) (preferred).

  • Knowledge of state regulations and ASHA guidelines for SLP-A supervision.

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Fully ASHA-certified SLP.

  • Eligible to obtain Tennessee state SLP license before start date.

  • Experience working in school settings (preferred).

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families.

  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students.
