The UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management seeks an outstanding anesthesiologist with a strong interest in pursuing an academic career.
Successful completion of a Pediatric Anesthesiology fellowship is required as responsibilities include direct patient care in pediatric anesthesiology with teaching and supervision of pediatric anesthesiology fellows anesthesiology residents and other trainees. Advanced subspecialty training or experience is preferred. Opportunities are available in goal-oriented research in this academic practice. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Texas medical license prior to employment and be BC/BE with the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). If the candidate is not Board certified the candidate will be appointed as Assistant Instructor at hire. Continued employment will be contingent upon receipt of ABA certification within two (2) years of initial hire date. Pediatric Anesthesiology subspecialty certification must be obtained within two (2) years of subspecialty training completion.
Pediatric Anesthesiologists hold faculty appointments in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center; however their primary practice is based at Childrens Health in Dallas. The Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology at Childrens Health is a cohesive group of anesthesiologists CNRAs and AA-C.
