THE JOB
This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day hospitality and caf operations at Thesis HQ ensuring a high-quality and consistent workplace experience. The position combines elements of facilities coordination caf service and internal event planning to support a welcoming organized and engaging environment for employees and guests.
Key responsibilities include managing the corporate office caf maintaining shared spaces coordinating internal events and serving as the primary point of contact for workplace hospitality. This role sets the tone for the in-office experience and plays a central part in fostering a positive and connected workplace culture.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
Manage the full weekly rhythm asthe sole in-house barista serving TuesdayThursday by preparing high-quality coffee tea and light refreshments; dedicate Mondays and Fridays to planning administration and enhancing the overall experience
Manage and maintain a welcoming caf space ensuring cleanliness organization and an inviting atmosphere
Oversee inventory management product ordering restocking equipment upkeep and adherence to food safety standards
Plan and coordinate food and beverage catering experiential details and hospitality needs for internal meetings and special events
Act as the primary point of contact for workplace hospitality greeting employees and guests and supporting a positive office experience
Support office culture through seasonal dcor music and thoughtful touches that enhance the day-to-day employee experience
Lead the planning and execution of internal events with an average of 12 events per month that may require working onsite until approximately 8pm
Collaborate and partner with the Facilities Manager on daily office operations including supplies mail vendor coordination and upkeep of kitchen areas coffee nooks and various areas of the office ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of these spaces
Assist with facilities administration tasks such as food services vendor management and process improvements in partnership with the Facilities Manager
AS FOR EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:
6 years of experience in hospitality caf/barista work facilities events or office coordination
Current food handlers and OLCC certifications
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on hospitality and client service
Ability to multitask stay organized and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
Skilled in anticipating client needs and delivering high-quality detail-oriented support
Proficient in Google Workspace Microsoft Office and general workplace technology
Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques including espresso machine operation and brewing methods
Understanding of event planning logistics timelines and vendor coordination
Strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to foster a welcoming professional environment for employees and guests

Reporting:This role reports to the Chief Brand Officer
Collaboration:This role partners with the Facilities Manager and engages with internal and external stakeholders
Leadership:This is an individual contributor role that serves as a central point of contact for hospitality at Thesis HQ
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role is based onsite at our corporate office Monday through Friday
Using standard office equipment computers and related technology
Certain activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse
Bending reaching lifting pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
Travel is not anticipated for this role
