About the Position:
Pelham Memorial School is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced middle school wrestling coach to lead our student-athletes. The coach will be responsible for teaching wrestling techniques developing athletes skills and fostering a positive and competitive team environment.
- Teach wrestling techniques and strategies.
- Develop and implement training plans that cater to the abilities and needs of middle school athletes.
- Coach and mentor athletes to improve their wrestling skills and performance.
- Organize and supervise practices and competitions.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all wrestlers.
- Communicate effectively with athletes parents and school administration.
Qualifications:
- CPR certification is mandatory.
- Experience coaching wrestling or related sports is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for wrestling and a commitment to developing young athletes.
- Knowledge of wrestling rules and regulations.
Availability:
- Monday through Friday after school hours in addition to at leasst 2 or 3 weekend days throughout the season.
- Season runs from November 17thto the end of February.
