Job Description
One-on-One Student Support for a student with orthopedic impairment and multiple disabilities including:
- Diapering and hygiene assistance
- Walking alongside the students wheelchair during classroom transitions or outdoor outings
- Riding the school bus with the student both to and from school each day
Medical Support for a second student:
- Administering NG tube feeding for approximately one hour daily (training/support can be provided if needed)
- Active LVN license in the state of California (or applicable state)
- Current CPR certification
- Previous experience with pediatric or school-based nursing preferred
- Comfort with assisting students who have physical disabilities and medical needs
- Ability to collaborate with teachers aides and school health teams
