Job Description

Required Education:

Associate in Applied Science in Medical Sonography required or within 6 months of hire

Required License:

ARRT registry with ultrasound credential OR

ARDMS OB/GYN certification required within 12 months of employment.

Required Certification:

American Heart Association BLS required within 30 days of hire

Summary:

Performs OB/GYN sonography examinations for clinical assessment and the diagnosis of medical conditions under general supervision of the attending Physician at Central Carolina Womens Health Center. Procedures will be performed according to departmental protocols policies and procedures and established standards of practice. Performs high level disinfection of probes following departmental protocols. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor reflective of medical ethics. Assesses and monitors patients and provides appropriate patient care.
