Job Description

Reports to: Director of Intervention Programs

Duty Days: 228 Days

Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Grade: AS02

Qualifications:

Bilingual - Spanish

College hours high school diploma

Demonstrate an ability and willingness to follow instructions

Successful work experience in a school district setting

Proficient typing computer and file maintenance skills

Excellent organization written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to self-motivate

Excellent telephone email and public relations skills

Flexible in work situation

Expertise in office machines including computer skills: word processing data base and graphics including Microsoft Office products

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Primary Purpose:

Provide secretarial clerical support and office management to support Katy ISDs Prekindergarten program.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accuracy for all prekindergarten language testing records.
  2. Transfer language testing data as needed into multiple student management systems and tools.
  3. Responsible for processing campus Prekindergarten language test requests and complete tracking records of materials and online test results.
  4. Maintain assessment testing records and inventory.
  5. Type various prekindergarten compliance and assessment correspondences reports agendas memos etc. and be able to proof work.
  6. Coordinate process and manage testing materials both paper and digital and other related logistics.
  7. Process documentation for Prekindergarten eligibility as needed to ensure compliance accuracy.
  8. Maintain confidentiality.
  9. Coordinate professional communications (i.e. telephone email and in-person) with department personnel campus staff visitors and community.
  10. Arrange for room accommodations for training and maintain appointment calendars for assessment personnel.
  11. Support department with regular testing and budget reports.
  12. Maintain records in student management systems for Prekindergarten eligibility.
  13. Communicate language testing needs to proctors.
  14. Monitor accuracy of testing records.
  15. Support new proctors.
  16. Assist in planning for office needs.
  17. Complete special projects as assigned.
  18. Perform all other specified duties as assigned.

Equipment Used:

Personal computer printer copier/fax calculator plotter phone system and scanner.

Working Conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions. Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds. Frequent district wide travel. Occasional extended work schedule.
