You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailCustodians at Recreation & Wellbeing are the guardians of our facilities and are key in creating welcoming and inclusive spaces. This position participates in the delivery of custodial services for Recreation & Wellbeings facility services department provides for the care and cleaning of the divisions facilities and equipment and ensures cleanliness orderliness and safety in assigned areas. Schedule consists of 8 hours per day Monday through Friday with occasional weekend and event coverage.
Department: A80-RECREATION & WELLBEING/NICK CUSTODIAL
Report needed building repairs.
Report security violations and/or suspicious activity.
Report building system malfunctions.
Remove posters papers and notices from prohibited areas.
Assist and work with Rec Well Student Custodial Staff members.
Attend Divisional Staff meetings and trainings.
Participate in professional development conferences and trainings to advance professional knowledge.
Pursue and maintain all necessary certifications related to job responsibilities (American Red Cross Adult CPR/FA/AED)
Exercise flexibility to work evening or weekend hours as needed.
Perform additional tasks as directed.
Compensation: Minimum $17.00 HOURLY
Depending on Qualifications
The starting salary for this position is $17.00 per hour but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive night differential of an additional $2.50 per hour when you work between 6:00pm and 6:00am.
Preferred Qualifications: 3 months of previous cleaning custodial hospitality or related experience within an academic commercial or residential environment preferred.
Education: Preferred H.S. Diploma
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 4:00am - 12:00pm with flexibility to work some nights or weekends as needed.
Appointment Type Duration: Temporary appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended based on need and/or funding.
