Block schedule: 6-on / 7-off: Wednesday Friday and Sunday Tuesday followed by 7 days off

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract. The position follows a unique block schedule of 6 nights on followed by 7 nights off offering extended recovery time. Candidates with 2 years of MRI experience are preferred and first-time travelers are welcome. This role will be situated in a fast-paced trauma Level I facility using Siemens and GE MRI equipment.
Responsibilities:Perform diagnostic MRI procedures in compliance with department protocols and physician orders.
Operate Siemens and GE MRI units and PACS to acquire process and archive images.
Screen patients explain procedures and position them appropriately for imaging.
Administer or assist with contrast media preparation and IV placement as needed.
Ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards.
Apply post-processing techniques including MIP subtraction and multiplanar reconstructions.
Manage imaging of various anatomical regions including head neck spine chest abdomen pelvis and extremities.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years MRI experience
Community hospital experience required
Trauma Level I experience required
Teaching hospital experience preferred
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Weekend Requirement: Yes alternating Wed Fri and Sun Tue
On-Call Requirement: No
Floating: Not required
Block Schedule: Required 6-on/7-off model
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
48 Hours Approval: Not permitted
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program
Experience:
2 years of recent MRI tech experience in acute or trauma settings
Licensure & Certifications:
ARRT (R)
ARRT (MR) Required
BLS (AHA)
State License Required
Fluoro Permit Preferred
