Title: Radiation Therapist

Were seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join the Radiation Oncology unit at Providence St. Joseph Health. This opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about delivering high-quality radiation therapy to oncology patients in a supportive care environment.
This 13-week travel contract offers valuable experience in a community-focused facility that utilizes advanced treatment planning systems. Local candidates are welcome and no on-call is required.
Responsibilities:Deliver external beam radiation therapy to oncology patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist.
Accurately position patients for treatment using custom molds shields and immobilization devices.
Perform daily imaging using CBCT/kV/mV systems to verify patient setup.
Operate and maintain linear accelerators and associated treatment equipment.
Collaborate with physicians dosimetrists and physicists in implementing treatment plans.
Follow safety protocols including ALARA principles and isolation precautions.
Participate in the planning and execution of IMRT and other specialized therapies.
Accurately document treatment delivery and patient response using the facilitys charting system.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
Certifications:
Required:
ARRT (T)
BLS (AHA)
Valid State Radiation Therapy License (WA) Must be active at time of submission
Preferred:
Additional specialty training or credentialing in IMRT
Charting System Experience: Required Any (EHR/TPS)
Treatment Planning Systems (Preferred):
Eclipse (Varian)
Pinnacle (Philips)
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
Experience:
At least one year of hands-on experience delivering radiation therapy treatments
Previous exposure to IMRT CBCT and tumor localization is strongly preferred
License:
WA State Radiation Therapy License
ARRT (T) certification
BLS (AHA)
Skills:
Proficient in pretreatment planning external beam setup and imaging alignment
Familiarity with beam modifying equipment: wedges filters blocks
Demonstrated use of lift/transfer devices and radiation safety practices
Ability to work effectively with adult and elderly patients
