Job Description

RN Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) Traveler (Day Shift 06:30 17:00)


Shift: 06:30 17:00 4 10s
On-Call: Required; rotating weekdays weekends and holidays
Assignment Type: Travel

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a travel assignment in a cardiovascular operating room. The RN will be responsible for circulating and/or scrubbing during high-acuity cardiac and thoracic surgeries. Candidate must be prepared for emergent cases and fast-paced workflow.

Responsibilities:
  • Circulate or scrub for procedures including CABG valve replacements aortic repairs and thoracic surgeries

  • Ensure OR readiness and sterile field integrity

  • Coordinate intraoperative workflow with surgeons anesthesia and perfusion

  • Monitor and document patient condition throughout the surgical process

  • Participate in scheduled on-call rotation for emergency procedures

Requirements:
  • Active RN license (state-specific or compact)

  • Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience required

  • BLS and ACLS (AHA) required

  • CNOR certification preferred

  • Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic preferred)

  • Strong understanding of cardiovascular surgical protocols and instrumentation
