Were seeking a self-motivated highly skilled veterinary nurse who thrives in an independent setting communicates effectively and can manage multiple priorities with ease.
This role is ideal for someone eager to contribute to the success of a growing specialty service. You will collaborate closely with our Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology teams offering excellent exposure and support should you choose to pursue your Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) certification in the future.

The anticipated schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Assisting medical and / or radiation oncology as needed
Surgical preparation and postoperative care
Recheck nurse appointments and owner follow-up for surgical patients

Sign-on Bonus of 3% of base pay (based on FTE) to be paid over the first year of employment!

This position is being posted at Vet Tech levels 1 2 and 3. Level and pay are commensurate with experience.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds independently
Physical and manual dexterity to perform specialized technical tasks
Proven proficiency with IV catheter placements
Proven proficiency with sedation administration and monitoring
Proven knowledge of basic nursing skills
Experience with client communication
This position is posted at Vet Tech levels 1 2 and 3. Level is determined by qualifications based on type of prior veterinary tech experience.
To qualify for Level 1: Entry level new CVT grad or some CVT working experience with no specialization.
To qualify for Level 2: Generally over 2 years of veterinary tech experience may substitute years of experience for specialization.
To qualify for Level 3: Veterinary Tech Specialist (VTS) or highly qualified and specialized in a specific area may have prior experience from another university hospital.
Professional experience working in a teaching hospital
Professional experience working in a surgery or oncology department
Certified Veterinary Technician Required
High School Diploma Required
Associates Degree Preferred
