Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Infant Educator to join our team. This role is community-based providing individualized play-based early intervention home visit services to infants and toddlers (ages 0-3) in their homes throughout San Diego.

Includ(Ed) provides early intervention-focused inclusive preschool where all are welcome. Collectively our staff provides the support care and education that enable typically-developing children and children with disabilities to learn play and thrive together.

We also provide in-home early start therapies and Infant Education to families around the county.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Infant Educator who is passionate about supporting infants toddlers and their families through holistic child-led and play-based early intervention. The ideal candidate will have experience working in home-based settings collaborating with families and using neurodiversity-affirming and culturally responsive practices to create safe and nurturing environments where all children thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized home-based child-led learning experiences that foster cognitive social-emotional and physical development.

  • Utilize play-based relationship-centered strategies to support each childs unique strengths and developmental needs.

  • Partner with families to develop strategies that integrate learning into everyday routines and enhance their childs growth and well-being.

  • Implement neurodiversity-affirming and culturally responsive practices that celebrate diverse learning styles and family backgrounds.

  • Conduct developmental observations and assessments track progress and provide families with strengths-based feedback.

  • Collaborate with therapists educators and families to create comprehensive support plans.

  • Model best practices in infant care safety and responsive caregiving.

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to program development and evaluation.

  • Engage in continuous professional learning focused on inclusive education early intervention and best practices in infant and toddler development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development Early Intervention Special Education or a related field (or equivalent coursework/experience required).

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with infants toddlers and families in a home-based or early intervention setting.

  • Experience supporting infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.

  • Strong understanding of child development theories play-based learning and early intervention practices.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

  • Ability to travel within your service area to provide in-home services

  • Strong communication coaching and relationship-building skills with children families and colleagues.

  • Commitment to equity inclusion and family-centered culturally responsive practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree credential or Masters Degree in Special Education or related field strongly preferred

  • Bilingual (Spanish ASL or other languages) a plus.

Physical Requirements of the Job:

  • Comfortable working in various home environments.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

  • Ability to sit on the floor and actively engage in play with infants and toddlers.

  • Ability to safely position and support children in various postures for developmentally appropriate activities.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Pay: $65000 - $80000 depending on experience and education
