Looking to develop your career at the forefront of a rapidly expanding industry Job Summary: This is responsible for developing the Southeast events strategy based on yearly brand objectives and strategic direction. This role is critical in creating exciting and memorable consumer brand experiences across brand activations home market event/partner sponsorships and Tap Room events. The events manager is responsible for developing the events strategy as well as overseeing all planning and execution leading up to and through the events. This position will collaborate closely across multiple departments to drive a dynamic and diverse events calendar. This is a key position within the Southeast brand marketing & pub teams requiring out of the box thinking and creative input and collaboration to drive short-term execution but also strategic vision and long-term planning. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Develop yearly Southeast events strategy and support Brand Managers (Sweetwater Shock Top Terrapin Runners High) in developing events support for key strategic brand/product priorities.
- Oversee coordinate and execute all of Southeast off-site brand events
- Event planning will require a start-to-finish execution. Youll be responsible for delivering strategic recommendations brainstorming planning and managing all aspects of event execution including booking talent renting event equipment scheduling and hiring event staff outsourcing security securing permits and licenses according to city and state laws working with the legal team to ensure events follow all legal protocols and being the main point of contact at the event on-site in each location.
- Travel will be required across Georgia to meet with stakeholders leading up to events as well as travel to execute events with key sponsorship partners (University of Florida for example).
- Act as a liaison between the brand marketing teams and the pub teams in Atlanta and Athens to ensure all communication is always up-to-date.
- Coordinate with marketing team and pub GMs on all beer releases beer dinners and small-scale pub events.
- Act as a liaison between external partners (Large brand partners local event sponsorships local small-scale brand partners) to ensure our brands are showing up in a premium on-brand way consistent with brand positioning and maximizing relationships/opportunities.
- Work with local charity partners to coordinate charity event participation and beer donations.
- Manage team of Brand Ambassadors to staff and assist at events and working to track hours and ambassador labor budget train team and maintain brand guidelines.
- Provide additional event partner recommendations based on overall brand objectives strategies and positioning as a part of the 1YP process
- Conduct post-event evaluation to determine best practices and effectiveness of spend/ROI and maintain ongoing event tracking to measure success for continuous improvement through events and brand activations. Full event recaps submitted reviewed and discussed with Senior Leadership Team (Marketing Director Sales Director Pub Director GM)
- Maintain ownership of events budget and events calendar
- Manage complex and overlapping brand events calendar effectively dividing resources to deliver successful results on multiple fronts concurrently.
- Manage all branded assets/vehicles including scheduling maintenance organization etc.
Skills & Abilities: - Ability to convey brand messages in an exciting and interactive manner outgoing organized professional with strong attention to detail flexible and able to adapt well to challenging and ever-changing situations high energy level and a get it done attitude.
- Experience working with local state and national regulatory agencies in execution of large-scale events.
- Self-starter with an ability to take brand objectives and strategic direction and develop a comprehensive strategic approach to achieve brand goals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidate must be comfortable speaking to large groups and interacting comfortably with various audiences.
- Team leadership abilities able to effectively delegate and utilize teams to execute all complex moving parts of each unique event.
- High-level of collaboration with Brand Manager(s) and Brand Design Manager to ensure adherence to brand guidelines and objectives.
- Exceptional problem-solving ability.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word Excel PPT).
- Experience working with a budget and P&L.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other office related software.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers.
- Thorough knowledge of the beer industry specifically on the wholesaler/supplier level.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills including the desire to learn all marketing and sales aspects of the company.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Education & Experience Requirement: - Experience in brand marketing or knowledge of brand principals preferred.
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing Management or related field preferred.
- Experience in CPG or alcohol industry preferred.
- 5 years of event marketing experience
- Proven experience in managing team of people leading an event from beginning to end.
Physical Requirements: - Conducts work in a sitting position; however job requires frequent standing walking bending stooping and light lifting.
- Travel will be required to meet with stakeholders leading up to events as well as travel to execute each large-scale pub event.
- This job requires an average of 2 weeks travel per month (March-November) to assigned US cities. Must have a valid drivers license.
