Job Description

Entry level production work that includes picking counting packaging using motorized equipment and computers to accurately and efficiently complete work orders. A packager is responsible for preparing products for shipment and ensuring they are securely packed to prevent damage during transport.Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:
Efficiently pack products into boxes or containers according to specifications and guidelines. Inspect items for defects and ensure they meet quality standards before packaging. Properly label packages with shipping information product codes and instructions as per guidelines. Assist with tracking inventory levels and report any discrepancies. Operate packaging machinery and tools ensuring they are maintained and in good working order. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Maintain accurate records of packaged items and prepare reports as needed. Pick parts for work orders and internal transfers. Complete proper department paperwork for proper tracking of material movement on work orders. Work in a team environment to build kits or complete work orders in accordance with work instructions. Read work orders to determine items to be moved gathered or distributed Sort and place finished goods on racks shelves or in bins according to instructions. Operate a scale scanner box stapler foam machine tape gun and compactor. Operate mechanized material handling equipment to include forklifts pallet jackets and waves. Communicate any exceptions to supervisor. Organize work area for orderliness. Perform other tasks as instructed by supervisor.
Education or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in packaging or a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read write interpret documents add subtract multiply and divide.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible based on the workload in remanufacturing department.
- Sense of urgency focus on safety quality and accuracy.
- Comfortable using mechanized devices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Certifications or Licenses:
- The company will train to operate mechanized equipment.
Physical demands:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working off ladders or platforms.
No restrictions on wearing safety footwear protective eyewear or required PPE.
