Job Description

Responsible for the support of digital resources used by staff and students in the district; organizes and maintains the district data privacy screening process trains building digital resource and accessibility teams and assists with the screening of educational digital resources to insure vendor privacy policies and terms of service annually meet or exceed federal state and/or Academy District 20 standards; oversees and manages the district accessibility processes; support schools and departments with accessibility trainings and guidance; act as the Education and Administration Center point of contact for hardware based (A/V) presentation and communication systems.

  • Reports consistently for work as scheduled

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Attains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards

  • Assists and supports school digital resource teams with the Districts Digital Resource Inventory process

  • Attends training and meetings as required during the school year in order to remain up-to-date on job procedures

  • Collaborates with Digital Innovation Services Director to ensure the privacy policies terms of service and accessibility criteria including electronic versions of textbooks meet or exceed federal state and/or Academy District 20 standard for educational digital materials

  • Collaborates with Purchasing Department and Legal Services staff to ensure privacy policies terms of service and accessibility criteria meet or exceed federal state and/or Academy District 20 standards for educational digital resources

  • Coordinates trains and provides guidance for Colorados Student Data Privacy and Transparency Act (HB16-1423) and student personally identifiable information (SPII)

  • Coordinates trains and provides guidance for Colorados Accessibility law (HB21-1110)

  • Coordinates and trains digital resource teams on the Districts Digital Resource Inventory and accessibility processes and systems

  • Coordinates multi-school purchasing/licensing of digital resources

  • Serves as the main contact for the Education and Administration Center hardware based (A/V) presentation and communication systems

  • Serves as the main contact for the Board of Education (BOE) hardware based (A/V) presentation and communication systems. Will require after hours work to support BOE meetings

  • Serves as an effective and supportive team member of the Information Technology (IT) department

  • Works collaboratively with the Director of Digital Innovation Services and other team members on projects related to digital resources data privacy accessibility and technology hardware

  • Works with District Technology Technicians Accessibility Ambassadors District IT and school staff to resolve issues and problems to support student data privacy and accessibility

  • Knowledge of Federal and State student data privacy laws

  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems preferably Google Classroom and Schoology

  • Understanding of student data privacy laws

  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training as required

Required Qualifications:

High school graduate -high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree or two or more years (48 semester hours or more of college with no degree) Bachelors (Baccalaureate) degree (e.g. B.A. A.B. B.S.) Experience and understanding of digital resource data privacy policies and terms of service

Compensation Range:

$28.08-29.48
