The Senior Facilities Electrical Technician is responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the setup and maintenance of electrical infrastructure. This includes the installation of electrical wiring throughout the Facility troubleshooting electrical malfunctions and blackouts and performing repairs on equipment. We require individuals who prioritize safety and adhere to precautionary measures. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience working with various electrical devices and systems. Our goal is to ensure the establishment and upkeep of reliable electrical systems and components reducing the likelihood of accidents and optimizing the usability of electricity across all facilities.
Primary responsibilities:
Maintain test repair and upgrade electrical infrastructure and equipment. This includes Facilities and Manufacturing equipment.
Follow and complete work orders. Perform preventative maintenance work.
Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection and protection of others.
Read blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the placement of outlets and fixtures.
Install wiring outlets and controls.
Maintain electrical systems at the facility. May be asked to perform general maintenance on Facilities and Manufacturing equipment as needed.
Inspect transformers and circuit breakers to ensure equipment is up to code.
Identify electrical problems using specialized tools like voltmeters cable testers thermal scanners and amp meters.
Repair and replace wiring and equipment using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers saws drills wire strippers and conduit breakers.
Direct and train fellow workers to install maintain and repair wiring and systems.
Ability to lift 50 pounds climb and work from ladders and aerial lifts.
Follow state and local building regulations.
Desired Minimum Qualifications
Holds a valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrical License.
At least 5-10 years of experience in commercial industrial and electrical construction / maintenance.
Strong knowledge of NEC standards and regulations.
Knowledge of NFPA 70E
Proficient in blueprint reading for electrical layouts.
Holds a Massachusetts drivers license.
