In Childrens Services we aim to give every child excellent care and a promising future. By supporting families and keeping children safe we are helping to make CBC a great place to live. As a Family Worker- Entry Level you will be critical to the success of the 0 - 12s Family Service. Find your greatness as you provide universal support groupwork and early intervention approaches to empower families and improve outcomes.
In this important and varied role you will be part of a team offering a welcoming and accessible service that meets and adapts to local needs. Day to day you will be working with other agencies to offer a range of drop ins groups and programmes that support childrens emotional social cognitive and physical needs keeping an eye on risk to ensure they are safe. You will support families to help themselves by working with them to identify their needs suggesting support and services and enable them to achieve their goals.
You will be confident and resourceful and keen to learn and develop new knowledge and skills. As this is an entry level role we will support you to achieve a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area. Experience in volunteering or working with children and families would be an advantage. You will be working as part of an established Childrens Centre working across the Leighton Buzzard area and will need a positive and flexible attitude towards change as the team and service develops.
