This position is in Cargills protein and salt business where we provide wholesome high-quality food products to a wide range of customers from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Principal Accountabilities
- Cut trim and otherwise prepare standard cuts of meat for sale at self-serve counters or according to customers orders
- Grind meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
- Shape lace and tie roasts and other meats
- Manage inventory determine amount product line and freshness of products according to company and customer requirements
- Ensure food storage conditions are adequate
- May supervise other butchers meat cutters
- Comfortable working on a cold temperature control environment
- Operate packaging equipment
- Styling meat cuts on trace
- Open and prepare boxes and combos of meat for processing
- General housekeeping
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending lifting up to 80 lbs and minor twisting safely with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to work overtime weekends holidays and different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- General meat plant experience
- Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklift
