Welcome to the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVM). What we want
The Multimedia Production Manager under general supervision manages all incoming photography and videography project requests including creative requirements scheduling budgeting and evaluating resource limitations; communicates plans facilitates and executes studio- and field-based production of multimedia projects including shooting lighting editing color grading and audio production; manages photo and video archiving; inventories and maintains all equipment and other assets; and supervises multimedia interns.

Salary: Will be commensurate based on the selected hires education and experience.
Schedule: Frequently requires work hours outside of standard Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. work week.
Travel: Ability to travel on and off campus

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of experience in managing the end-to-end process of planning shooting and editing photo audio and video products in support of a brand or series.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of supervisory experience and one year using specialized photographic techniques in a medical scientific or research setting.
Two or more years in a medical scientific or research setting.
Required Special Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to operate and maintain photo and video cameras and equipment including digital editing systems and software.
Knowledge of studio and field lighting gear including lighting techniques for location shoots.
Ability to conceptualize and direct studio and location photo and video material including interviews.
Ability to edit video productions from source materials including scripts.
Ability to operate and maintain audio equipment used in video production including microphones and related equipment.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to work creatively and communicate professionally and effectively with others.
Ability to be highly organized.
Knowledge of video cameras recording decks editing equipment editing software lighting equipment and audio gear.
Ability to travel to various locations on and off campus.
Ability to carry and move heavy photo/video equipment
Responsibilities
Manages all incoming multimedia (photography and videography) project requests
Works with internal and external constituents to create produce and enhance film/photography and edit content for distribution across channels (social media website publications and other collateral) in support of the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences mission as well as that of Texas A&M University.
Evaluates creative requirements and resource limitations including budgeting and scheduling.
Communicates plans facilitates and executes high volume of studio- and field-based production of multimedia projects including mirrorless camera operation editing set and lighting design color grading and audio production.
Develops multimedia content ideas strategy and vision for VMBS
Provides creative vision for a variety of multimedia projects on a variety of subject topics ranging from editorial to documentary to medical.
Demonstrates and contributes creativity out-of-the-box thinking and resourcefulness to meet VMBS communication and marketing goals both with internal constituents and external customers.
Advises on resources and budget needs to help VMBS achieve its visual media goals and vision.
Maintains Data and Files
Properly manages and archives all digital assets.
Develops naming conventions for files and ensures all files meet Texas A&M accessibility requirements and contain appropriate metadata.
Supervises student visual media employee(s)
Oversees day-to-day work of student employee(s) including making schedules and assignments setting deadlines and ensuring student work meets VMBS standards for quality.
Trains student employees on equipment usage VMBS protocols and procedures for capturing college activities and for photo/video file archiving.
Property and Purchasing
Manages video and photo assets and oversees the inventory security operation upgrade and maintenance of equipment and studio.
