A Junior DCL Interface Developer typically plays a supportive role within the Connectivity and Data Integration Team (CDI) focusing on the development of Payroll and Provider Interfaces using Darwin Coding Language (DCL*) and testing the integration based on test scenarios provided.
Darwin Coding Language (DCL) is a proprietary configuration tool developed in Darwin. This is used in Darwin Evolve to create the basic building blocks of our platform (benefits client schemes and interfacing). There is no expectation that anyone applying for the role will have any background or prior knowledge of DCL syntax.
We will count on you to:
Have a good understanding of all processes and ways of working within the team.
Be aware of Darwins capabilities and limitations.
Develop basic Darwin Interfaces based on clear specifications using DCL.
Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Update / Fix Darwin Interfaces based on change requests / bugs.
Follow DCL standards in terms of naming and design of configuration file.
Assist other Darwin support teams with debugging of Interfaces.
Maintain and update status of tasks using available tools (Jira/Confluence) and meet project deadlines.
Maintain open communication with project stakeholders.
Contribute to knowledge base sharing lessons learnt and document any new Darwin features and/or capabilities.
