Job Code: HCP210The Northeast Health District is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing and leadership in addition to technical consultation and training to public health nurses for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Tuberculosis (TB) and Other Infectious Disease (OID) programs. The position is based in Athens GA and involves travel to the Northeast Health Districts 10 counties (Barrow Clarke Elbert Greene Jackson Madison Morgan Oconee Oglethorpe and Walton) as indicated. Under broad supervision provides professional nursing care training and consultation in accordance with nurse protocols policies and/or procedures.
As the Infectious Disease Nurse Trainer & Consultant within the Northeast Health District at the Georgia Department of Public Healthyou will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
A current Georgia license to practice as a registered nurse is required.
Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited college or university three (3) years of nursing experience and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Public Health experience and protocol training is highly preferred.
Annual salary $70000 plus generous benefits including 13 paid holidays annual and sick leave health insurance and retirement plans.
