Now part of Flexera Spot optimizescloud infrastructure to always behighly availableand for thelowest possible costwe revolutionize the way businesses manage their are looking for a skilled and motivatedSoftware Engineer Automationto join our engineering team and contribute to the quality of our cloud optimization products through effective and scalable this hands-on role youll work on enhancing our automation frameworks expanding test coverage and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product excellence. Our Java-based Selenium framework supports testing across complex interfaces data workflows and cloud-based business logicyour contributions will help ensure our systems stay robust scalable and performant.
Responsibilities
Implement and maintain automated test suites for cloud-native applications and services
Collaborate with senior engineers QA and product stakeholders to identify test areas with high ROI
Develop reusable test components and contribute to automation infrastructure improvements
Analyze test results identify issues and participate in defect resolution discussions
Support CI/CD integration efforts by embedding automation into build and release workflows
Stay current with industry best practices in automation testing methodologies and relevant tooling
Qualifications
3 years of experience designing and executing automated tests for cloud-based systems
Proficiency in Java Selenium and familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
Experience with backend test automation and container environments such as Kubernetes
Understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform) and cloud platform fundamentals
Solid grasp of software testing principles and automation strategies
Strong communication and collaboration skills
ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing is a plus
Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
Exposure to ML/AI systems and testing dynamic data-intensive applications
Familiarity with observability and performance testing tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana JMeter k6)
